Spring has Sprung!

Yipee! I am always so excited to see tulip bulbs sprouting. I'm especially excited this year because I spent a ton of time planting all new ones last fall! We had a spring snow yesterday, just the kind I can handle since it melts fast. Our bulbs always come up first on our street since we have so much southern exposure. Our yard looks the best for about two weeks, then they all die by the time everyone else's come in.

Pittsburgh

What a fun weekend Keri, Millie and I had with the Campbell/etc. clan in Pittsburgh! We hung out, had family dinners every night, played cards (which Grandma won), watched Jessica Fletcher save the world, went downtown to great food stores--I'm loving the spices and biscotti! It was so wonderful to spend time with all of you! Thanks to Pat and Grandma for hosting us. I'll post more pictures when I get them from Keri. I didn't take all that many because we have so many shutter-happy people in our family! I can't believe we're not all blind from all the flashes. Just kidding! We loved every minute!

Kaitlyn's tooth and Utah game

So a lot has happened since I last posted. I've included some pictures. Kaitlyn's tooth FINALLY fell out. Her teeth are loose for honestly six months before falling out. It fell out at school, which is always pretty cool so everyone can see.

We went to the final home game for the Utes on Saturday. The kids loved it. Luke was really into it, standing on his chair yelling "Go Utes!" and "De-fense!" It was great until he started yelling "Go BYU!" I told him he really couldn't say that in that building. I didn't want to get beat up! The highlight of the game for him was getting an ice cream from the cheerleaders.

Stuff this week

So here's what's happend this past week...the annual girl's Christmas brunch was held last Saturday. Natalie, Rachael, Julianne and I found the last day of January was the first day we could get together for "Christmas". Melanie, we missed you and hope Kaleb is recovered from his stint in the hospital! It's always fun to get together and I'm so grateful to have had these friends since seventh grade! Lots of history there!

For Christmas, Nana gave Kaitlyn a trip to her nail technician for a mani/pedi. She came home wanting to do everyone's nails. Welcome to Salon Kaitlyn! She sctually did a pretty good job!

Bubbles, bubbles, everywhere!

The kids love to get in our big tub and dump shower gel in to make tons of bubbles. This was last Sunday, and probably a good thing Scott was at a meeting. They were literally over=flowing. They giggled like crazy over all of them!

Snowmobiling at the cabin

We had a great weekend at the cabin! The kids rode the snowmobiles the entire time. Kaitlyn learned to ride the little one and we couldn't get her off it after that! Jackson also talked Scott into showing him how to drive the big one. He loved it, especially since you can go so much faster on the big one than on the little one! Brittany, if you read this, it reminded me so much of us driving your big snowmobiles around the nieghborhood and through the field when we were young! Of course, why I remember driving wilding out of control across Hess's yard and running over something that bent the running board, I don't know. It was still pretty fun! Fortunately, Jackson is a much better driver than I was!

Christmas vacation

Merry Christmas! I haven't posted anything is so long! Christmas was great again this year. We had darling tie-dyed jammies (Thanks Kelly!), a darling gingerbread house (thanks Moom), and great continuing traditions (thanks Nana and Bapa for your dinner and Santa). We've had a great last two weeks without school for the kids and work off for Scott. We've loved hanging out together playing with the toys Santa brought, skiing, eating out and going to the movies. Monday morning is going to be a cruel dose of reality when we have to get up and going for school!
