Okay, so Scott keeps telling the kids their mom is the biggest nerd for going to the midnight showing of "Twilight", but it's worth it. It was a great girl's night (middle of the night) out. A bunch of us went, but this picture is of me with my sisters-in-law Tanya and Julie. We don't look half bad for 2:30 in the morning, huh? I was really afraid I'd fall asleep, but was truly captivated through the entire thing and then couldn' t go to sleep until about 4:00, after getting home at 3:00. Can you say tired the next day? Fortunately, the kids didn't have school, so I didn't have to get up and get them off. I actually thought the movie was better than I expected. Everyone was pretty skeptical of seeing Edward on screen (what actor can accurately portray him?), but I thought he was great...until seeing him on Jay Leno. Apparently, the guy does not shower and when he does, he doesn't wash his hair--how sick is that? If you caught the episode with Heidi Klum, it was hysterical. She kept scooting down the couch away from him as they discussed his hygiene, or lack thereof. Needless to say, now I'm not quite so impressed. I just hope he showers on the set. Who wants to kiss a guy who never showers? Forget how hot he is! In any case, I need to read the books again.
How'd we let her in this picture??? Just kidding! We love you Nana, even if you root for BYU. Last Saturday was the perfect day for football. We were so pumped for the BIG GAME. Scott and I survived all the tension of the first half when it was tied, but the Utes pulled through and won 48-24. We missed the very end of the game and the trophy presentation to make it to the Coldplay concert, something we have waited for months to go to. They put on a great show! We were so tired by the end of it, having stood for pretty much seven hours straight! What a day!
Happy Halloween! Of course, Luke has been wearing his Jedi costume for weeks now. It's perfect...with the way-too-cute Yoda ears, he's Yoda, without them he's Anakin--But NOT Luke Skywalker, which he is quick to correct anyone on. Even Scott got into dressing up this year in his matching Jedi costume. Jackson wanted to be a soccer player, which was the easiest of all, since all he did was throw on his soccer clothes and his Argentine jersey. Jeni and Kaitlyn were witches again together, something Kaitlyn loves. This year was unseasonably warm for the end of October, so it made for great trick-or-treating. Jackson, of course, went everywhere and really raked it in, while Luke was good for our short street. All in all, it was a fun, festive night!
