First Day of School

First day of school--yea! Jackson was so excited to get the teacher he really wanted. Kaitlyn was excited for new and old friends (she's our social butterfly), and Luke was just excited to play on the playground at preschool. His friend Eli said, "Luke, you can go to my school.", so now it's not Luke's school, but Eli's school. They all love it and I'm not quite sure what to do with my few hours of kid-free time!

Cascade Springs

We went to Cascade Springs from the cabin in Midway over Labor Day weekend. While we've been there before, we always love walking the trail and finding small fish in the pond.

San Diego family pics

We took some fab pics of our family in Carlsbad (or Papa did, I should say). After dragging everyone to buy San Diego sweatshirts and fretting all week about when to take the blasted pictures, I actually think they turned out...

Happy Birthday to us! Our friends brought over their birthday hat for Scott to wear on his birthday. He worked it out so with the 4th holiday, he had a four-day weekend to celebrate. We had cake one day, went out to dinner another and opened presents all weekend. Way to spread it out! Luke actually loved his birthday this year. Moom bought him this life-size Darth Vegas (as his calls it). It's up in his room with a Darth Vegas helmet that says all these different Darth Vegas things when you walk by it. It's pretty funny! Scott's mom made us two cakes to celebrate our birthdays--chocolate for him and carrot for me. They're the best!

On my birthday, I took the kids downtown to be in the children's parade. Who doesn't want a parade on their birthday?! We went to lunch afterward, then I hit the spa for a facial--aahhh! That night, we had a BBQ with some friends. It was a great day all around. Besides giving me my own "national holiday birthday" this year, I was also spoiled big time --Scott bought me a laptop!! I don't know if Scott is glad he did it or not, since now I'm really always on the computer. Learning Vista and Photoshop Elements has been a challenge, since I'm use to regular Photoshop, but I'm getting it. Vista won't support PS 6.0, which is dumb, so while I'm having to do some things on both computers, I'm loving the laptop anyway.

New scrapbook pages

So I'm becoming really addicted to this digital scrapbooking thing (as Scott can attest too). Here are some of my first pages I've completed. See what you think...I know I still have a ton to learn. I'm not crazy about the bike riding one, but the others are okay.

Happy 6th Birthday Kaitlyn!

Happy Birthday Kaitlyn! Kaitlyn wanted a Hannah Montana party. She picked out the plates and napkins, and even this shirt and denim skirt. However, she still wanted a princess cake, which I stayed up until the wee hours frosting. She decided it was okay not to have a Hannah Montana cake, since she doesn't exactly wear poofy skirts! It was a fun party and we can't believe she's SIX!

Lake Powell 08

We just got back from a fabulous week in Lake Powell. We discovered the newest craze on the water--surfing. Check out the picture of Scott--no rope! It's a hoot to watch and an even bigger kick to actually do it. Here are some pictures of our fun in the sun... Jackson gets up on his own on the wakeboard--way to go!

This is the first year Jeni has INTENTIONALLY crossed the wake. I've also lost my scared out of my mind facial expressions!
Dad was Luke's buddy the entire week.

Another gorgeous sunset!

Look Mom--no hands!
